Loretto Land Use Committee, established in 2000, was formed to develop a plan for the protection of all Loretto land and to develop a long-term
sustainable land use plan for all Loretto land. The committee cooperates with other religious groups, farmers, and other landholders in the area on matters of land preservation and sustainable land use.The committee consults with land preservation agencies as well as attorneys knowledgeable about land-protection methods. The committee has developed the Loretto Land Ethic, adopted by the 2006 Loretto Assembly.
