Sally Tureman CoL was a Loretto co-member who taught social studies at Loretto in Kansas City for seven years in the 1970s. She is renowned among Loretto alums for her “pygmy camp” in the woods on the Loretto campus, where eight- and nine-year-old students experienced the culture of the BaMbuti Pygmies as documented in Colin Turnbull’s The Forest People.
