WHO WE ARE

Loretto Motherhouse

The Loretto Community has an elected President who provides leadership and a focus of unity in fostering the life and mission of the community.  She is assisted by the elected Executive Committee, consisting of the Vice-president and five other members who serve the president both as an advisory group and as a decision-making group.

Additionally, the Loretto Community also provides leadership in non-canonical matters through the Loretto Community Forum which is an advisory group to the President, focused on the mission of the community and ways of fostering the Loretto charism.  The President, Executive Committee members, and four elected co-members serve on the Community Forum.

The same Spirit who inspired and guided our founders gathers us in community today.  We walk with all those “Friends of Mary” who, for almost two centuries, have followed Mary, Ann, and Christina in a vowed life of praise, prayer, and service.  Their courage, concern, and energy, nourished by the gospel and communal love, are with us as a lasting endowment of hope.
