50th Reunion of Loretto Class of 1965 & Celebration of Golden Jubilarians
By Cathy Mueller
From May 26-28, 25 women who joined Loretto in 1964 as postulants and were received into the congregation in 1965 met at Loretto Motherhouse for a reunion. We came from all across the United States and from Ireland. We took time to get reacquainted, sharing parts of our lives from these past 50 years. We also shared memories of our time together for the one year at the Motherhouse. We have changed — and the Motherhouse also has changed. Besides our personal sharing, we could see the laundry transformed into apartments, the auditorium morphed into the Heritage Center, Rhodes Hall into an art studio/gallery, and the church into a simple and elegant post Vatican II space for worship. We had time to explore the place, even as we explored our lives with one another.
