The Mariella Apartments feature 12 independent living units on the 3rd floor of the Loretto Living Center building.

What is Independent Senior Living?

Independent living is best suited for those with the ability to be self-sufficient, but desire companionship and social opportunities with peers. Independent living means you can:

  •  manage personal hygiene
  •  take medications as ordered
  •  perform ordinary household chores
  •  schedule your own appointments and transportation needs

The Mariella Apartments are for independent living only; personal care and medical/nursing services are not provided. If more care is needed, LLCLM offers personal care and nursing facility services on the 1st and 2nd floors.

All Inclusive Living Spaces

The Mariella Apartments are perfect for seniors who are active, self-sufficient, and capable of managing their daily activities. In each of the cozy Mariella Apartments, you will find thoughtfully designed and newly renovated rooms, fully accessible handicap bathrooms, and modern kitchenettes equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, and sink.

Complimentary cable TV, landline phone, and Wi-Fi are included. Stay connected and entertained!

Relax or socialize in one of the common rooms:

  • TV lounge
  • The Gathering Room
  • Kitchen with a dining table for shared meals

A laundry room with two washers and dryers is available on-site for use at no additional cost.

Loretto Motherhouse campus events, church events, and Loretto Living Center activities are open to Mariella residents.

Campus Security: Our dedicated security staff monitor the campus throughout the night, providing peace of mind and secure living.

Receptionist: Our receptionists are available to assist you with any calls or questions you may have.

Annual Deep Cleaning: Each unit receives a thorough annual cleaning by our environmental services staff, so you can relax and enjoy your space.

Maintenance Staff: Our maintenance staff are available to promptly address any maintenance needs and conduct routine inspections, keeping everything in tip-top shape!

The Mariella Apartments doesn’t just offer a comfortable independent living experience on a scenic campus, it’s also conveniently located near many local attractions!

  • Events at Loretto Motherhouse – right there!
  • Maker’s Mark Distillery: 5 1⁄2 miles
  • Springfield Opera House: 12 miles
  • Bardstown (historic attractions, lively downtown shopping, and famous distilleries): 30-minute drive.
  • Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest: 45 minutes away

Other local attractions include: Cozy Corner Tavern and Bar (Loretto), Center Square (Lebanon), and Log Still Distillery (Gethsemane).
