Please join us for the Immigration Spotlight Friday, September 3, 2021 from 11am to 12pm EDT. Julie Taylor, executive director of National Farm Worker Ministry, will discuss NFWM’s 2021 Harvest of Justice Campaign, Farm Workers and Food Justice.

An overwhelming irony of the US agricultural system is that agricultural workers face environmental, political, economic, and structural barriers that prevent them from being able to sustainably feed their families. Farm workers feed us while simultaneously being 400 times more likely to experience food insecurity than the general public.

Farm workers should have accessible, safe, healthy, and culturally appropriate food.
Farm workers need to eat food that gives them adequate strength and health so they can pick and process food as an essential part of the agricultural supply chain.
Many farm workers do not have access to the food they grow, pick, and process.

Join LACC as we address concepts from food security to food sovereignty and discuss practical ideas on how we can make a difference in the lives of farm workers.

To attend, please request a Zoom invitation through this form.
