THE LORETTO COMMUNITY, SISTERS AND CO-MEMBERS,
IS INVITING ANYONE CONCERNED ABOUT VIOLENCE IN THE MIDDLE EAST TO:

A public Lenten prayer service for peace in the region and for Palestinians in Gaza followed by a meeting of a small group with one of Senator Mitch McConnell’s aides.

WHERE

Outside of the Federal Building where Mitch McConnell’s office is located – 601 W Broadway

WHEN

Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 12:00-12:30 pm

WHY

We believe that bold, peaceful, prayerful action is an urgent and critical response to the unlawful and immoral killing of civilians in Gaza. While the action is specifically focused on support for Gaza, we believe that it’s possible to respond compassionately to the people of Israel and our US Jewish friends and neighbors while also firmly opposing US policy supporting Israel’s military response to the October 7 attack.

WHAT

• Music: The Mourning Choir
• Speaker: Farah Mohkareizadeh
• Prayers: A litany of mourning, a call to turn towards life and prayers for peace
