Mission Committees and Networks
Members of the Loretto Community carry out our mission work individually, through committees and networks, as a Community, and in collaboration with other groups. Committees and networks focus on specific mission priorities and often are rooted in resolutions adopted at Community Assemblies.
You can learn more about the purpose, values and activities of the committees and networks listed below:
Founded in 1985, the Latin America/Caribbean Committee (LACC) exists to be a healing presence, a source of hope, and a force for change while seeking justice and peace for all who are impacted by the inhumane immigration policies and the decades-long interventionist foreign policy of the United States throughout the region. The Loretto Earth Network (LEN) exists to educate and alert its members and all who would join them in both the mystery and miracle of creation and the crisis that threatens our universe. Learn more here.
The Loretto Feminist Network (LFN) is a voluntary association of feminists in the larger Loretto Community. We are committed to act for the empowerment of women and all people. We agree to work toward transforming institutional, personal, and structural relationships based on domination and subordination, both within the Loretto Community and beyond it. Learn more here.
Peace Committee
The Peace Committee educates the Loretto Community and represents the Community in the public sector. Issues the committee works on include abolition of nuclear weapons, gun safety, non-violent communication and action, and the military budget. Read more here.
