Loretto Jubilarians: Faith-filled women, loving service

For the remainder of June, we will honor our Sisters and Co-members celebrating major jubilees, spanning 80-plus years to 25 years of faith-filled, loving service. No matter what year of their commitment, each jubilarian has followed and understands the disciple experience of meeting Jesus on the road.

“As they came near the village, Jesus walked ahead of them as if he were going on. They urged him to stay with them. He went in to stay with them, took bread and blessed and gave it to them. Their eyes were opened and they said to each other, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us as he spoke to us along the way?’”

I Am the Way, the Constitutions of Loretto, has been part of Loretto’s legacy for many years and guides every member in following Jesus’ path. There have been no limits to our jubilarians’ response to God’s grace in their Community life and mission. And as they looked around at our charism of giving loving service, they began to realize what part they could play in giving of themselves to community and to carry out the mission to love as Jesus loves.

Bless those who served so well and so long.

Bless those who call us to respond to Jesus’ call to service.

Bless those who show us all how to follow the light of Christ.

Bless those who walk with us on the path of following the Gospel.
