Peace Prayer

We all are aware of the August 6 and 9 bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 80 years ago by the United States military. And we are becoming more aware of the U.S. military continuing to develop more dangerous weapons than they used to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

For many years Loretto has been aware of the problem of nuclear weapons and have continually called for a complete elimination of them. And so our Peace Committee plans a yearly Peace Prayer for the Community to pray for peace and to stop this insanity of creating bigger and more powerful bombs.
