On Friday, March 3, storms upended trees and disrupted power supply to the Loretto Motherhouse. Thankfully, no one was injured, but a massive tree fell and took out the main water line; the electricity was out on the Motherhouse campus through the weekend. The emergency generator kicked right in, though, which helped tremendously. Our maintenance staff hooked up extra generators on Saturday morning and ran them until 8 p.m., then turned them back on Sunday morning to warm the Motherhouse back up. Both power and water have been fully restored now. Thank you to our outstanding maintenance staff and all who helped put everything aright again!
