The Loretto Volunteer Program pairs volunteers with social justice organizations for a formative year of service. Through meaningful work and communal living, volunteers live out the Loretto Community’s mission to work for justice and act for peace – guided by the core values of social justice, community, simplicity and spirituality.
Volunteers live in community houses in Denver; El Paso, Texas; New York City; St. Louis; and Washington, D.C. where they work in social services, education, advocacy, media and healthcare. They connect with Loretto members in formal and informal settings throughout the year. The program is a key ministry for the Loretto Community to continue its mission to “work for justice and act for peace.”
