Just as frontier living shaped the lives of our early sisters, so a global society shapes ours. The Loretto Community continues to stand with Mary at the foot of the cross. We strive to bring the healing Spirit of God into our world and commit ourselves to extending the boundaries of learning and justice, of human dignity and peace, of active faith and pastoral concern, of efforts on behalf of the poor.
Our life in community is for mission — we are gathered together to be scattered for mission. Community is the gathering and the scattering.
