Loretto students, alums share their gratitude for ‘the Loretto way’

Here is what the kids say:

“I made new friends, best friends!”
“I met kids from 15 different countries.”
“Did you know I can read?”
“I won a prize in math class!”
“Our team won state in volleyball!”
“I love my teacher. She is the best!”

As at first the wagon trains came into use and later the railroad expanded, so did Catholic education. Loretto was founded in 1812 to meet the needs of children in the areas of education and religious formation. The Sisters soon found joy in their work and life together. They did not know how far their “wagon train” would lead.

But look what happened: Co-ed and girls schools, two excellent colleges, hundreds of elementary schools, four excellent high schools, a bi-lingual school and a school for students with learning disabilities, two tutoring centers and the list goes on!

Lucky the students who went to Loretto-staffed schools and those today who go to Loretto legacy schools. We are so proud of you. Be sure to give those teachers an apple! This week on Loretto’s socials we will share just a few of the myriad notes of gratitude Loretto has received over the years from those taught Loretto-style. Thank you for your love of Loretto!
