Outreach

Who we are

The goal of the Outreach Team is to support and strengthen our Loretto relationships within the Community and with others who share our values. We will work toward this goal by creating and supporting opportunities and strategies to share our legacy, spirituality, community, and shared commitment to peace and justice with individuals and allied groups, both within and beyond the Loretto Community.

Retreats and Rituals

Two to three spiritual retreats are offered every year (in Snowmass, CO, in Missouri, at the Loretto Motherhouse in Kentucky, and online); in collaboration with the Loretto Earth Network, online celebrations of the changing seasons are offered quarterly.

Workshops

Loretto Outreach collaborates with other Loretto committees, working groups, and organizations to address a variety of Earth-centered and Social Justice issues, including “Localization: Economic and Environmental Justice,” “Sustainable Communities,” “Leadership and Diversity,” and “Financial Permaculture.”

Circles

The Circles welcome Loretto colleagues, alums, friends, and others to join with Loretto Community members to learn, enrich and share in the bounty that is Loretto. Currently there is one Circle that meets face-to-face and one online Circle.

Study Groups

Study groups run in cycles and allow participants to study and discuss foundational Loretto documents and history along with Loretto Community members. Study Groups sometimes study other materials related to Loretto values (e.g. eco-spirituality, anti-racism, just economic systems).

Outreach Newsletter

Published monthly, the Loretto Outreach newsletter serves as a way to keep friends of Loretto connected to Loretto happenings and upcoming events. It also presents occasional spiritual reflections by Loretto Community members. You can sign up to receive the Loretto Newsletter at the bottom of this page.
