Loretto was invited to attend an assembly at St. Vincent de Paul School in Denver to recognize the years of service given there by religious communities: Sisters of Loretto, 58 years; Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, 10 years; and Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia, 20 years. Mary Nelle Gage, Cathy Mueller, Lydia Peña, Vicki Schwartz and Sylvia Sedillo represented Loretto.

We were given a tour of the school and attended a school assembly. We were shown a slide presentation recognizing many of the individual sisters who taught there, the second graders sang a special song they had prepared, and each of us was presented a medallion of St. Vincent de Paul. It was an experience of gratitude for all those who have served these children and families throughout many years.
