What is Emerging?

A story told by Frank Tuoti in his book The Dawn of the Mystical Age (1979) goes something like this: Early in John Paul II’s papacy, the state of the Church caused him much worry, and so he invited a Hindu mystic to a private audience and asked him for his advice as to what the pope might do. The Hindu mystic replied, “Gather in your mystics!”

Mystics are those individuals who hold truth within themselves and are living containers of the real, the eternal. Perhaps we could take time to “gather in” a few mystics to help us during these chaotic times to become still and awaken to what is emerging.

From Frank Tuoti: As we peer into the very immediate future, we must anticipate worldwide convulsive earth changes…and deadly new microbes that mutate out of reach of known vaccines and antidotes…. The one antidote that remains to us is a spiritual revolution induced by a rising transformation of consciousness.

From Thich Nhat Hanh: I have arrived. I am home.

From Martha Alderson in her poem “Awakening”: Come to the arms of your soul. Welcome! Here is your home. Here is the source of your searching. Here is the pot of gold. Searching is not over. The gold must be polished and replenished. But you are home.

From Thomas Merton: We are on a new river, but we don’t know it.

From Steve Farrell (Humanity’s Team): Consciously breathe into the awareness of the Awakening that is upon us all.

We invite you to join us as we ponder these words of wisdom in the stillness of our hearts. If you’d like to share any of your reflections with us, we’d be happy to receive them.
