The priority theme for the sixty-sixth Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66) was “achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes.” The 2022 Review theme is “Women’s economic empowerment in the changing world of work.”

CSW66 was largely virtual; the NGO CSW Forum was exclusively online and grounds passes for civil society organizations were only issued on the first day of the forum.

Loretto at the UN sponsored/co-sponsored two parallel events at the NGO CSW Forum. Loretto at the UN was also excited to co-host a Virtual Exhibit Booth at the Forum with the Justice Coalition of Religious (JCoR), where other Loretto groups like LFN, LEN, LACC, as well as Loretto students, participated and hosted programs.

You can check out recordings, summaries, and notes of all of the Loretto at the UN events here.
