Join Loretto members as they help shine light into darkness

Every day. Every year. We must ask ourselves, “Where does your heart belong this year?” Read with us the challenge outlined in I Am the Way, the Constitutions of the Sisters of Loretto: “We work for justice and act for peace because the Gospel urges us.” (#36)

Here are just some examples of what Loretto is trying to do this year:

• Work and pray in solidarity with Ukraine
• Attend to the Commission on the Status of Women
• Work for a world free of nuclear weapons
• Support migrants at the border
• Help to educate about a clean environment
• Carry out a planned conservation easement of our Motherhouse land

Loretto’s mission is to shine light into the darkness — a strong light which will help us and others see the needs of people all around us. Can we do it all? Of course not. But with the attention of our supporters in the areas in which they live and work, more voices can be raised, more life-saving work can be done, and more Gospel can be lived out.

Press for meaningful change. Your impact will be felt by many. There are no unimportant moments in anyone’s life. Remember this line in the Gospel of Matthew 25:40: “Truly, I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these… you did it to me.” Where does your heart belong this year?
