Loretto in Motion: Who We Are and What We Have Done

From the Outreach and Co-membership Teams
The Outreach and Co-membership Teams have just completed a compiling a study guide which combines readings from Naming Our Truth and A Century of Change, two important books that provide writings on significant events in Loretto’s more recent history. Co-members-in-process are asked to read these books, among others, as part of their study of Loretto.
With the success of I Am the Way study groups, whereby co-members-in-process and Loretto members study the Constitutions of Loretto together, the Co-membership Team thought encouraging study groups using Naming Our Truth and A Century of Change might be equally fruitful. In discussions with Outreach, it was determined that these books would be helpful not only to co-members-in-process, but also for those interested in learning more about Loretto — from Community members to Circle members and beyond — or those just wanting to revisit some of Loretto’s major events throughout the years.
In an attempt to engage more Community members in the process of developing the study guide, we completed online interviews of individuals who were involved in the work and events described in the selected readings. We intentionally included others than just the authors of the chapters to introduce more Community members, through their videos, to those individuals who might not know them.
You can find a link to the study guide on the Loretto website at http://www.lorettocommunity.org/. Go to the “Belonging” page and then to the “Co-members of Loretto” page, and scroll down to near the bottom of the page just above the signature block.
We look forward to hearing from you!
