I saw two camels on the street yesterday.
I cannot convey the intensity of the traffic — pedestrians, and carts with donkeys and carts with bicycles and carts with motorcycles and motorcycles and bicycles and cars and cars with carts, not to mention trucks of all sizes with all kinds of loads— jammed across four unmarked lanes of traffic edged with kiosks and food stalls. And there on an edge was a camel standing tall and a smaller one lying down. Someone said that people buy the camel’s milk and that’s why they are on the road. Perhaps the smaller one was still nursing and sharing the extra milk to earn their way in the world.
Love, love,
Mary Ann
