Knobs Haven

Knobs Haven consists of two retreat spaces: the Knobs Haven house and the third floor of the historic Academy Building. Knobs Haven offers space to individuals or groups for a weekend, a few days, or a week. Groups generally bring their own leader, although arrangements can be made for retreat facilitation.

The Knobs Haven house is a lovely 2-story, air-conditioned house built in 1873, with a large kitchen, gathering area, library, prayer room, enclosed sun porch, and ½ bath on the first floor. The upstairs has seven bedrooms and 2 full baths; the three larger bedrooms contain 2 beds each, making the house easily accommodating of 10 persons.

The second Knobs Haven space is on the third floor of the historic Academy Building. The four large bedrooms with sitting areas are suitable for single accommodations, and the additional beds in those rooms can expand their capacity to 11 persons.  Five smaller single bedrooms bring the sleeping capacity of this space to 16.  Also on the third floor are a large gathering area, a fully equipped kitchen, a dormitory-style bathroom and a single full bathroom.  An elevator is available, with access to a ground-level ramp. Each room has its own very quiet air conditioner.

Smaller groups use either the house or the Academy building; larger groups use both areas.

For a stay of two nights or more, the fee is $55 per night.  For one night only, the fee is $65 per night. Check with JoAnn regarding current Covid protocols for eating in the dining room.
